Where can I access support?

MAIRSINN offers support mainly by facilitating safe spaces for people to find information and connection. We host 2 online forums which offer peer - peer support and have many years worth of information

MAIRSINN also offers 1-1 support using Email or the messaging system on our RANS forum
There are several advantages to using the forums for support - not least of which is the anonymity offered by using an online service. Add to that that there are no higher experts on surviving than survivors themselves and it's fair to say that our forums can be a powerful resource for survivors

The forums are open to people of any gender, race, faith/belief, nationality, and sexuality

Why Two Forums?

MAIRSINN hosts 2 support forums

One is called RANS (Ritual Abuse Network Scotland), a legacy name and the forum that MAIRSINN predominantly utilises to connect with people. The RANS forum is a populated space with a chatroom

The other forum is called FPP (First Person Plural), also a legacy name and this forum was originally utilised by the former charity of that name and still contains posts and information from this time. The FPP forum is a quieter space which focuses more on dissociation

Which Forum is for Me?

Ultimately this is for you to decide

The RANS forum contains content relating to dissociation, mind control, and also to ritual and organised abuse. This means that there is more likelihood of reading about things that may be upsetting or triggering. The FPP forum does not specifically cover the topic of abuse

The RANS forum can be joined directly but people must request access to the FPP forum. Both forums are open to people seeking support for themselves only and neither is open to anyone else without special agreement
